Arsenal Transfers: Cavani Holding Out For A Move To North London

PSG striker Edinson Cavani is increasingly becoming frustrated at his current club and he is holding out for a move to Arsenal.

Edinson Cavani is almost certain to leave Paris Saint Germain in the summer transfer window as he himself has admitted in the past that he is not particularly happy with the way his career is progressing in the French capital.

English Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool, are keeping a close eye on the situation of Cavani at PSG and they are ready to make a move in July.

However, Cavani himself is only interested in moving to North London side Arsenal.

Arsenal have sent Lukas Podolski and Yaya Sanogo out on loan and they have become over dependant on Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud to score goals.

Arsene Wenger is looking in the market for suitable candidates and apart from Edinson Cavani, Mattia Destro and Paulo Dybala are attracting the interest of the Frenchman.

Meanwhile, reports coming from England and France have also confirmed desire of Edinson Cavani to ditch other clubs to join Arsenal. The Daily Express has claimed today that Cavani’s future at the Parc des Princes is in doubt after he failed to report for a mid-winter training camp in Morocco earlier this month. And while it is thought that the Uruguayan is unlikely to be sold this month, a move in the summer now looks unavoidable. Cavani is not only aware of Arsenal’s interest, but has chosen the north London club as his preferred destination if he has to leave.

Cavani has scored 8 goals in 19 appearances for PSG this season but Laurent Blanc is reportedly not happy with the efforts of the Uruguay international.

This ongoing dual with his coach has left Cavani frustrated and he is now looking for a move to Arsenal. However, Laurent Blanc is adamant that he has not received any offer for Cavani, but refused to rule out a move.

He told beIN Sports: “It’s not impossible that one of our players will leave.a

“Thiago Motta, Lavezzi and Cavani? None of then has asked me to leave, and, moreover, it would be difficult for me to let them go.

“We have no offers from other clubs.”
