Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia is reportedly set to make a A?22 million move to Inter Milan amidst Arsenal and AC Milan rumours.
Geoffrey Kondogbia, who was linked with a move to several European clubs including Arsenal, AC Milan and Real Madrid, is now set to join . Inter Milan for A?22 million. The AS Monaco midfielder is set to sign a 5-year contract with the Serie A club and will undergo a medical on Monday, SkySports reports.
The Frenchman was believed to be closing in on a move to AC Milan but rivals Inter stepped up their interest and arrived in Monte Carlo on Friday to speak with the 22-year-old. Kondogbiaa s agent had previously openly admitted that there was interest for the midfielder from various clubs across Europe and Inter Milan was one of them.
Kondogbia was a stand-out player for AS Monaco as the club finished third in the Ligue 1 behind Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyon. Monaco also managed to enter the quarter-finals of the Champions League after beating Arsenal in the round-of-16 only to bow down to eventual finalists Juventus. Kondogbia was rather impressive in the 3-1 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates.
On the other hand, Inter Milan had a rather disappointing season under Roberto Mancini as the Italian club finished 8th in the league and failed to clear the last-16 of the Europa League.
Geoffrey Kondogbia is a solid midfielder who joined Monaco in 2013 after impressing at Sevilla. The Frenchman is only 22 years old and will be a great addition to Mancinia s side.
