Alexandre Lacazette Agrees Deal With PSG; Snubs Interest From Premier League Giants: Report

Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazzete has agreed a 5 year contract with PSG with a 22 million fee agreed between the clubs as per reports in France.

Lacazette was on the radar of Liverpool FC, Manchester United, and Arsenal FC and it now emerges that he has snubbed interest from the clubs to sign for PSG.

The deal includes a clause to loan back Lacazette to Lyon for the 2015/16 season. The player has, agreed to a five year contract with the Ligue 1 champions, and will return to PSG in the summer of 2016.

According to the report, a transfer agreement was reached on Thursday in a meeting in Paris. Lyon President Jean Michel Aulas, PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi, agent David Venditelli and Alexandre Lacazette were all present.

Lacazette had, just days earlier, stated that he will stay back in Lyon and continue his development. Lyon did not want to lose the player for the 2015-16 season and with Ibrahimovic’s agent Mino Raiola confirming that the Swedish forward is staying at PSG to fulfill his contract which last till 2016, the deal to take Lacazette to the French champions in 2016 suited all parties.

Liverpool FC have just confirmed the signing of forward Danny Ings and are continuing their hunt for another forward. Lacazette was one of the targets of the Anfield club, but, it now seems they will have to look elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Manchester United were looking to replace the departing Falcao with the Frenchman. The English giants have been linked with a move for Karim Benzema, who is thought to be offered in exchange of David de Gea by Real Madrid.

With Benzema denying any rumors of exit from Spanish capital and Robin van Persie casting doubt over his Manchester United future, Wayne Rooney might find himself short of partners given that Lacazette has reportedly agreed a move to PSG.
