Agent of AC Milan forward Jeremy Menez has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Liverpool FC.
Liverpool FC have been linked with a host of forwards this summer and last week reports in Italy added AC Milana s Jeremy Menez to that list.
The 28-year-old joined the Italian club on free transfer last season, after his contract with PSG ran out. The French international has had an immediate impact on his return to Serie A as he scored 16 goals in 33 appearances.
Last week reports in Italian media linked Liverpool with a move for Menez this summer. The Merseyside club have been in a market for a versatile forward since the departure of Raheem Sterling, who joined Manchester City. Liverpool were reportedly lining up a A?10.5million bid for Menez, who can play all across the forward line.
The Frenchman was also initially linked with a move back to former club AS Monaco, but they signed Meneza s teammate Stephan El Shaarawy instead. Reports suggested that new Milan manager Sinisa Mihajlovi was ready to cash in on the forward in order invest the money on more defensive minded players.
Meneza s brother and agent Kevin Menez has however now gone on record to rubbish these claims and insisted that the 28-year-old will stay the club beyond this summer.

Liverpool meanwhile are close to officially announcing the signing of Christian Benteke from Aston Villa. The 24-year-old has reportedly completed his medical and an announcement is expected later today. The Merseyside cluba s bid of A?32.5 million was accepted by Villa earlier this week. The Belgian international will be their seventh signing of the season as Brendan Rodgers strives to reshape the squad. It will be interesting to see whether he still looks to sign another wide forward after the arrival of Benteke.
