AC Milan Wonai??i??t Sack Inzaghi: Galliani

AC Milan have won only one game in 2015 and the reports of Inzaghia s impending sack have been rife in Italy. But club CEO Adriano Galliani has stressed that the former striker wona t be sacked anytime soon.

The win over Parma on last weekend was the first victory of AC Milan in the new year and the club finds itself five points behind Europa League spot.

Recent struggles of AC Milan have put the future of Pippo Inzaghi in jeopardy, with recent reports in Italy claiming that CEO Galliani is ready to sack the club legend.

However, Adriano Galliani himself has come forward to the defence of underfire Pippo Inzaghi today, stating that his job is safe.

“The president Berlusconi called Inzaghi and myself after he read the reports,” Galliani said at an event organized by AC Milan to welcome new signings Mattia Destro, Gabriel Paletta and Salvatore Bocchetti to the club.

“What was written was the opposite of what he thinks. He said that Pippo Inzaghi will get experience, none of us has ever said that he won’t stay.

“Inzaghi has a contract for next year, and there are no ultimatums. There are 17 games left, we’ll try do well, I still don’t understand this team.”

Meanwhile, new AC Milan signing Mattia Destro, who was also present at the event organized by the club, said that Rossoneri is the perfect club for him.

a Milan are Milan, there was no convincing needed,a Mattia Destro told assembled media.

a I want to do well, and this is the perfect place to do it. I come to AC Milan with great desire to show everyone my quality. Ia m here to help the team, wea ll do everything to do well.a

a There were a lot of things which were important in me coming here, but I think [joint-CEO Adriano] Galliania s gesture is the thing that meant the most to me. When they told me, I was in disbelief, ita s nice that he came to Rome to meet me. Hea s a very important person in the world of football, and ita s good that hea d do something like that for me.a
