Fininvest, the owners of AC Milan, had denied it yesterday that they have received any offers for the Serie A side, but Thai investor Bee Taechaubol has revealed it today that he did table an offer.

AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi is struggling badly to pump in more into the club for the purchase of new players since past few years now. And the inability of Berlusconi to invest money into the club is hampering the performance of the club badly as the Rossonori are currently sitting at 11th position in Serie A.

The recent struggles of AC Milan has attracted the interest of many investors into the club and Thai businessman Bee Taechaubol is keen to take the reins of the club as soon as possible.

AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi’s holding company, Fininvest, stated on Monday they had held no talks with any investor and denied they are ready to sell the club. However, the Thai businessman Taechaubol has claimed he made an official offer.

“The reports are all true. I have presented an offer to acquire a majority stake in AC Milan,” Bee Taechaubol told Bangkok Post today.

“My offer has an overall value of just under a 1bn.

“The deal could come into effect by October. I’m now awaiting a response from Berlusconi. I am ready to close the deal by the end of the month.”

Bee Taechaubol also made it clear that he has already had a meeting with AC Milan president Berlusconi and is confident of expanding the brand Rossonori in the Asian markets.

“I have presented a clear development project with a detailed plan for each major city in Asia. I am convinced the brand ‘AC Milan’ has a tremendous value in a market where we want to strengthen our position,” Taechaubol added to La Repubblica.

“My proposal is serious and solid. Talks with Berlusconi were very serene and quite pleasant.”

If he succeeds in his attempts of taking over AC Milan, Taechaubol would become the second Asian investor to take charge of a of Serie A’s top club after Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir previously acquired city rivals Inter Milan.
