AC Milan Sack Manager Filippo Inzaghi

AC Milan have decided to part ways with their manager Filippo Inzaghi after a terrible season in the Italian Serie A. Ex-Milan striker who was appointed last season at the helm of affairs will be removed from his position. In all probability, he will be replaced by SiniA?a Mihajlovi who left UC Sampdoria at the end of this season. Media reports in Italy quoted a club statement which read, “has been informed by the club, with great regret, that there will be a change in coach next season.”

Filippo Inzaghi has failed to guide Milan into Europe next season as the Rossoneri finished 10th in this season’s league table. Their league position has actually deteriorated from the previous year when they had finished 8th.

SiniA?a Mihajlovi had made an announcement on Monday that he will be parting ways with UC Sampdoria. The Serbian is tipped to be the successor of Filippo Inzaghi at AC Milan. Mihajlovic had talks with Milan president Silvio Berlusconi and general manager Adriano Galliani on Wednesday night.

Sampdoria finished seventh under Mihajlovic thereby securing a place in the Europa League. His side had four more points that AC Milan under Inzaghi.

AC Milan had managed to win just 13 matches this season. They drew 13 games and lost 12. It was their worst possible performance in the last decade. This acted driving forcing in removing Filippo Inzaghi from the manager’s post.
