Virgil Van Dijk, the Dutch centre back who has been a revelation at Celtic this season, is apparently on his way to the Premier League with both Manchester clubs expected to be in the reckoning to sign him. Both the Manchester clubs are in need of centre backs in the summer as the current season shows.
For the Red Devils, their skipper Nemanja Vidic is moving to Inter after being the rock for the side for such a long period of time. The player has already agreed terms with the Seria A side and this will leave a huge void in the United backline.
This will force manager David Moyes to look into the transfer market and Van Dijk can be the ideal replacement for the veteran player.
City, on the other hand, will also be forced to look into the market in search of a quality centre-back after the proven failure of their summer signing Martin Demichelis.
