Former Arsenal and Barcelona striker Thierry Henry has decided to retire from Professional football after a hugely successful career spanning close to 20 years.
There was some speculation as to where Henry would play after revealing that he would leave New York Red Bulls in November, but has decided to stop playing. The 37-year old’s next journey will be as a pundit as he’ll feature alongsideAi??Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Jamie Redknapp and Graeme Souness for Sky Sports football

A Career to remember
In his prime, it’s hard to argue that Henry wasn’t the best striker on the world. Henry’s true potential was realized at Arsenal where he scored a total of 226 goals in 368 games with 175 of them coming in the Premier League; the highest in Arsenal’s history and the fourth highest in the Premier League. It was slightly baffling when he was signed for a fee ofAi??Ai??ai??i??16.1m from Juventus in 1999 considering he had made only 16 appearances and scored thrice for the Old Lady, but it turned out be Arsenal’s best piece of business in the last two decades or so.
Henry’s 30 goals in the 2004 season was key in side’s ‘invincible’ season and he’ll surly go down as one of the Premier League greats. The Frenchman was probably the best player never to have won the esteemed Ballon d’Or award for individual performance.

Both Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville faced Thierry Henry in the Premier League and in truth, he often got the better of them! The duo who have been at Sky revealed how good a player he was and that they will enjoy working with him.
