Kroos was an essential part of Germany’s World Cup winning side and enjoyed a great tournament. His name has been linked with Manchester United along with other clubs for a while but Real Madrid have been the side that has been successful in landing him.
Kroos has been highly rated ever since he began playing the sport. The 24 year old was chosen as the best player at the 2007 Under-17 World Cup, when Germany finished third.Ai??He joined Bayern when he was 16 and later spent 18 months on loan at Bayer Leverkusen where he was sent by the Bavarian giants to further his development. He returned a better player and was soon able to establish himself at the club.
The German midfielder helped Bayern win the Champions League in 2013 and get their domestic doubles in the past two seasons.
A player like Kroos moving for a fee in the region of A?20million is a little shocking and is pretty much a steal for Real Madrid. The Spanish side has benefited from the fact that the 24 year old only hadAi??one year left on his contract.
Kroos will be joining international teammate Sami Khedira at his new club. But this reunion would probably be temporary as Khedira looks set to leave Madrid. Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in the player and are both fighting hard to land him.
