Real Madrid are reported to have rekindled their pursuit of Juventusai??i?? Ai??Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal and ready to make a move in the summer transfer window.
Spanish sports daily Marca have claimed today that Ancellotti is a bag admirer of Juve star and see him as the perfect summer addition.
Ancelotti was already interested in the Chilean last summer, but his price tag, Illarramendi’s arrival at the Bernabeu, the pre-contract with Dortmund for Gundogan (effective from 30th June) and Bale’s signing made it impossible to bring in the Italian coach’s coveted transfer target.
Real put signing Vidal on the back-burner, but did not forget about him altogether. He is now back on the scene for next season. Gundogan had been ahead of Vidal in the pecking order, but the German’s back problems and the Chilean’s outstanding performances have seen the Juventus man gain ground, especially as he would slot perfectly into Ancelotti’s 4-3-3.
However, signing Vidal from Juve will be no easy feat. Vidal has also been linked with Manchester United although there were claims earlier this week that he was set to sign a new deal with Juventus worth A?200,000 a week. Thatai??i??s despite signing an A?80,000-a-week contract (AFTER tax) earlier this season.Vidal is Juventus’ highest-paid player, ahead of TAi??vez and the deal would cost over ai??i??60m.

The Chilean is one of Serie A’s most in-form players, a veteran who is well-known for his work ethic and his impact on the pitch. During this season’s Real Madrid vs. Juve game at the Bernabeu, he put in an impressive physical display and his stats show that he is a very complete player. He has scored 16 goals in 30 games this season, totalling 38 goals in 113 games for Juve. He had signed a contract extension in early December to keep him in Turin until 2017, but it seems the Serie A champions are desperate to hold onto one of their best players by offering a bigger deal.
Vidal was signed from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011, and has played 52 times for Chile, scoring eight times, including five in 11 appearances as his country qualified for the World Cup.
His views on Real appear to have changed now. After ruling out a move last summer he told Spanish radio stationAi??Onda CeroAi??after the two sides met in the Champions League at the Bernabeu earlier this season that he would like to play for the club in the future. ai???Weai??i??ll have to see what happens,ai??? he said.
