Spanish international Diego Costa has said that his future lies with Chelsea FC and has expressed his gratitude towards Atletico Madrid for building his career.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge since the end of the season and Costa has accepted that his future lies with Chelsea.
Diego Costa enjoyed the best season of the career so far as he stepped up to fill up the shoes of Radamel Falcao for Atletico Madrid. Chelsea were always the favourites in the race to sign Diego Costa and recent reports suggested that the London club have agreed upon a transfer fee of A?30million with the Spanish international completing his medical ahead of the move. The Spanish striker has already publicly accepted the possibility of this move, while Jose Mourinho has expressed his confidence about sealing the deal.
Costa has now confirmed that his future lies with the London club, although he is currently concentrating on his international duty with Spain.
“At the moment I am not paying attention to it because I am thinking about the World Cup, but it is clear that my future lies more with Chelsea than with Atletico Madrid,” he is quoted as saying by Sport.
“Atletico has been my home, my life and I have great feelings towards the club, but things happen in life and one has to accept them.
“I do not know what the situation is because I have not been involved in all that.
“I have asked everyone to leave me alone now because I just want to do the best I can [at the World Cup] and to be with the national team.

The Spanish international has also expressed his gratitude towards Atletico Madrid, but insisted that the decision to join Chelsea was the right move in his career at this point.
