Mata has been selected as the United’s player of the month for February, by the fans of the club in their six foreign language website. He edged past Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic and was given a trophy and a cheque of A?500 to give to charity.
“It’s amazing for me to be awarded with this prize after my first month. I have played just a few games, five games I think, and I am really grateful the fans have voted for me,”Ai?? he said after winning the award.

Rooney to be made the skipper
Meanwhile Manchester United will be forced to change their club captain soon as they are set to lose Nemanja Vidic to Inter come this summer.
Vidic has been the club captain for a long time and losing them to Inter will certainly hurt the Manchester club. But reports suggest Wayne Rooney could be set to be the next United captain in Vidicai??i??s absence and if he is made the skipper, it would be a complete transformation for the England striker.
Rooney had tried to quit the club in the summer and was not confirming his signature, but ultimately decided to commit his long term future to United recently.
