Manchester Unitedai??i??s Danny Welbeck looks like he is on his way off from Old Trafford with Hull City, Tottenham Hotpsur and Everton vying for his signature.
The England international is not in Louis van Gaalai??i??s plans for the future and the Dutchman would not have any problems shipping him off and removing deadwood.
Everton are interested in signing the United player as well as former Chelsea and Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o. The Toffees manager Roberto Martinez confirmed his side’s interest in the two players.
“There is a lot of money involved in those two. At the moment, I am looking at all the options,” Martinez told The Times.
“While the window is open, we are looking at anyone who can help us and also looking at our injured players and seeing how they react.”
Martinez also added that Eto’o’s age does not concern him and would not prevent a deal going through.
“It would not put me off because every player can contribute in a different way,” he said.
Martinez has already brought Ronelu Lukaku to Goodison Park on a permanent deal from Chelsea for a record transfer sum. The Belgian limped out of Saturday’s draw with Arsenal, highlighting a need for attacking depth in the squad and Martinez feels that Welbeck can offer a lot to the Merseyside club.
Tottenham are also interested in the player and the Mirror has reported that the player himselfAi??wants a move to Tottenham.
