Manchester United have joined Arsenal in a race to sign Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler.
Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler is widely recognized as one of the most talented young midfielder of world football and host of Premier League clubs are interested in his services. Julian Draxler injured himself on Friday in Schalkeai??i??s 1-0 win against Augsburg and he is now sidelined for next couple of months but this is unlikely to fend off the interest of both Manchester United and Arsenal as they are genuinely interested signing the youngster.

Sami Khedira of Real Madrid is also being linked with a move to Manchester United and Arsenal since past few months but Ancelotti has stressed it on more than one occasion that he wants the German to extend his contract at the club.
This uncertainty over the future of Khedira has forced both Manchester United and Arsenal to look elsewhere. Van Gaal wants to add more creativity and physical strength to his midfield and he believes that Julian Draxler is the perfect candidate. Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is also scouting Julian Draxler since past many months and he even tried to sign this gifted youngster in the summer but baulked at the asking price of Schalke.
But Arsenal have renewed their interest in Julian Draxler now and it is promises to be a long running transfer saga as Manchester United are also ready to spend 35-37 millions for the signature of this highly talented youngster.
