Manchester United striker Robin van Persie, who was stretchered off against Olympiakos, will be fit to face Manchester City on Tuesday.
The Dutch international scored his first Champions League hat-trick to propel Manchester United in the quarter finals of the tournament as they produced a memorable performance to turn around a two-goal deficit from the first leg against Olympiakos. But the United fans held their breath in despair as the former Arsenal striker was stretchered off in the closing stages of the match after suffering a painful knock. Robin van Persie went down under a challenge from Kostas Manolas and considering his struggle with fitness this season, everyone feared for the worst.
But Manchester United manager David Moyes later confirmed that the injury is not serious and that the 30-year-old will be assessed in the morning.

The Dutchman will miss Manchester Unitedai??i??s travel to face West Ham United, but reports suggest that he will recover in time for the crucial Manchester Derby at Old Trafford on 25th of this month. This will come as a huge relief for David Moyes as he looks to use the momentum gained last night to finish strongly this season.
Robin van Persie has already missed a lot of matches this season due to recurrent injuries and has started in only 17 league matches so far. But despite his absence, he is still the join top scorer for United, along with Wayne Rooney, in the league. Recently his performances, along with most of the other Manchester United players, came under some criticism and some fans even argued a case for Moyes to drop him from the side as he failed to create good link-ups with Wayne Rooney.
