According to reports, Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney was seen limping at a club event and could miss out the vital Manchester derby this weekend.
Having served a three-match suspension for his rash tackle against West Ham, Captain Wayne Rooney was expected to make a much-needed return to the Manchester UnitedAi??line-up which is already limping with injuries. However the Englishman was seen limping away from a promotional event, sending alarm bells ringing all across Manchester.
The injury is understood to have been sustained in the training session ahead of the promotional event and is not deemed to be serious enough as Wayne Rooney did make it for the club event. According to sources, the club is unaware of a potential injury to their Captain and Rooney is expected to make a comeback against arch-rivals Manchester City.
