Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that he will target winning all the competitions, despite the target set by Chief Executive Ferran Soriano.
After Manuel Pellegrini arrived at Manchester City last season, Chief Executive Ferran Soriano set him a target of winning five major trophies in five years. The former Real Madrid boss began his stint in England with wonderful fashion as he went on to win the Premier League title and the League Cup.
Pellegrini has said that he is not worried about the target set by Soriano and insisted that the club will once again aim to win every major competition they participate in this season.
“I don’t have a target to win five titles. Every time I play a competition, I want to win it. But that thing that we have to win five titles in five years – for me it is not important,” he said.
“For this year, our target is exactly the same as last year. We will play in the four competitions we must play in and we will try to continue in all competitions as far as we can. Exactly the same as last year.

Manchester City have made some shrewd additions to their squad this summer in a strangely quiet manner.
