For Isco, these two additions could mean being further pushed back in the pecking order. After being brought in last summer, Isco managed his share of first team chances, but got receded to the bench towards the end of the season. The arrival of Kroos means that he would primarily be used from the bench and a player of his talent, moreover age, needs regular game time.
Liverpool could prove to be the perfect destination for the player. He could easily fit into either one of Rodgers’ 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 formation. He has the capability of directly fitting in the starting 11 of the team. His arrival would keep the likes of Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana on their toes.
