Liverpool FC left back Jose Enrique has insisted that he is well on his way to regain full fitness and is likely to appear in the opening fixture.
Jose Enrique made only six starts in the Premier League last season as he underwent a knee surgery in November last year. The Spaniard though is close to returning to full fitness and could make his first appearance in this year in Liverpoolai??i??s opening Premier League fixture against Southampton.

“I was training on my own and running a lot, and it’s not the same when you play with a team, because it’s a lot more with the ball and a different type of running.
“I’m still getting my fitness back but I feel really good and confident that I can play soon.
“It’s little by little, and not just me, everyone is getting their fitness.
ai???If the manager wants me to play in the first game of the season, I am ready, of course.” ai??i?? The Liverpool defender said in an interview.
The 28-year-old joined Liverpool in 2011 after spending four seasons at Newcastle United. He became a first team regular since his arrival at the club and was part of the 2012 League Cup winning side under Kenny Dalglish.
The Reds have now returned to the Champions League this season and Enrique is excited at the prospect of playing in Europe.
