Serie A leaders Juventus claimed a 2-0 victory at AC Milan on Sunday to move 11 points clear of nearest challengers Roma. The result extends Juve’s unbeaten league run to 18 games and leaves them well on course for a third straight title.
Goals from Bianconeri strike duo Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez either side of half-time were enough to claim all three points for the runaway Serie A leaders, but Milan dominated large parts of the game, particularly in the first half.
Even though the Rossoneri, who currently lie in 10th place, came away from the game with nothing to show for their performance, manager Clarence Seedorf was pleased with his sideai??i??s approach to the challenge of facing the reigning champions and thought that Milan are gradually getting to the level he wants them at.
“I’d say it was a very good performance. We knew that we were facing a great side, but we imposed our tempo on the game and eliminated their strengths as much as possible.
“Juve were able to sit back even more in the second half after taking the lead, but I am impressed with the growth of the team.
“We said before the game, this was another opportunity to prove to ourselves we are on the right track. We had many chances, but we were unable to turn them into goals and, as we saw tonight, that can prove costly.
“We have seen our spirit grow in the last few games, tonight we kept up with Juventus in terms of tempo and determination. Of course you need to take your chances to control games, but the team is getting there.”
Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon made superb saves from Kaka and Riccardo Montolivo to keep the scores level in the first half, and he believed the visitors were somewhat fortunate to leave with all three points and was delighted with the resilience shown by Antonio Conte’s men.
“There’s a lot of credit to go round for the way the team was able to suffer under pressure, but there was also some good luck too.

Buffon went on to insist he and his team-mates are not taking anything for granted in their march to another Scudetto, despite the lengthy lead in Serie A.
“These are three very important points, but we’ve got to be very careful.
