With the Indian Super League progressing, while engulfing the country, there have been major reports of the Super League being followed passionately in Europe,largely Ai??due to the presence of legends such as Alessandro del Piero, Robert Pires and Luis Garcia, Ai??involved.
The inaugural league has not disappointed with its share of competition and quality of play, but would be looking to further extend its grasp, in terms of legends.
Another Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is rumored to join former teammate Robert Pires, in the next edition of the Super League, asAi??Lai??i??Equipe reports.
Henry, has even talked to Pires if rumors are to be believed.Ai??The two legends talked on Robert Pires”s birthday when Henry suggested the idea of playing in the ISL next year and Pires getting a player manager role in FC Goa. With Zico being linked to the vacated seat of manager, last governed by Wim Koevermans, chances are that assistant coach Arthur Papas, will remain as an assistant at Goa, and Robert Pires could don the player manager role, while Thierry Henry could be FC Goa’s marquee player for the next edition of the Super League.
Henry was also approached by Delhi Dynamos at the start of this season, to ply his trade alongside Alessandro del Piero, but the Frenchman refused due to prior commitments with his club New York Red Bulls.
Even former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand and Bayern Munich’s Claudio Pizzaro, have also decided to join the bandwagon,as both have Ai??displayed Ai??interest for the Super League. The influx of Henry, Ferdinand and co is likely to further enhance the image of the Indian Super League which has caught the attention of football fans across the world.
