Chelsea have announced that their Brazilian Flair, Oscar has signed a new five year deal on Monday. The deal will commit Oscar’s future towards Chelsea till 2019.
Oscar was more than happy to penn his future to Chelsea, he said ,Ai??”I am so happy because I love playing for Chelsea and living in England,I have enjoyed playing here for two years, and now I have five more, so I am very happy.”, while talking to Chelsea’s official website.
The 23 year old was signed in 2012 from Internacional, a Brazilian club, and ever since his inclusion in the Chelsea contingent, the play maker has grown as a player.
Although Oscar was criticized for his lack of physical strength, in his early days, the Brazil International gave a suitable reply to his critics soon, as he went on to score 27 goals in 126 appearances for Chelsea.
Oscar was signed by originally by Roberto di Matteo, as Chelsea’s attacking trio which comprised of Mata-Hazard-Oscar then, became one of the top tridents in England. But, the Brazilian has grown tremendously under new Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho, as he deployed Oscar in a number ten role, a position which was earlier occupied by Juan Mata.
Oscar has been sensational for Chelsea thus far.A superb dribbler, Oscar is very fluid and creative in his runs. As a play maker, Oscar has great vision and is able to deliver the precise pass to his teammates. Oscar is extremely effective in building up play in areas higher up the pitch and his cunning runs as well as skillful short range passing make him a threat in and near the opponent’s box.
Known for his vision for picking out teammates in tight positions and carving out chances in difficult situations, Oscar acts as the catalyst in Chelsea’s attack, and was widely praised for his role in the team’s Europa League success in 2013. Oscar’s ability to press opponents high up the pitch has made him a favorite of Mourinho.
Committing his future to Chelsea, is perhaps in the best of interest for both the involved parties. While Oscar will be part of a winning set, that is bound to win trophies, and perhaps is bound to lift the Premier League trophy this year, Chelsea will keep one of the hottest talents in Europe with themselves.
The attacking trident of Oscar-Hazard-Willian, is slowly taking shape and if Jose Mourinho decides to bud this bond, then this attacking trio behind Diego Costa could be one of Europe’s best attacking setups.
Chelsea meanwhile, sit top of the Premier League and look to build on their lead, as they entertain WestBromich Albion after the International break.
