Reports in Germany suggest that Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has signed a pre-contract with Bayern Munich.
The move has been on the cards since Lewandowski refused to sign a new contract with Borussia Dortmund and the German club took the risk of letting him go for free next season when his contract expires. Bayern Munich, who have already signed Mario Gotze from Dortmund, were considered the front-runner in the race to sign the Polish international. Lewandowski has been a revelation since joining Dortmund back in 2010 and has already scored 65 league goals in 112 appearances, helping Dortmund win two back-to-back Bundesliga title in 2010-11 and 2011-12 season. He is widely considered among the best strikers in Europe currently and will further strengthen Pep Guardiolaai??i??s side who are already running away with the domestic title this season.
Bild has earlier reported that Robert Lewandowski has finally come to an agreement with Bayern Munich and has already signed a 5-year contract with the reigning European Champions. This will also end the speculations which suggested Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal were lining up a move for the Polish striker.
Reports suggest that Lewandowski has undergone a medical at Bayern Munich today and he was pictured entering the Bayernai??i??s office with his agent and club doctor Dr Hans-Wilhelm MA?ller-Wohlfahrt. This will come as big blow for Dortmund, who are already struggling in the league at 4th spot. This could also possibly turn Bundesliga into a one-horse race as none of the other clubs can seemingly match Bayernai??i??s squad depth and financial power. This will also put some question marks on the future of Mario Mandzukic at Bayern, the striker could possibly be on his way out of Germany in the summer.
