The agent of Sebastian Giovinco has revealed that the Italian international could consider foreign offers if he decides to leave Juventus.
The Juventus youth product continues to find himself on the Bianconeri periphery and has been recently linked with January moves to Napoli and Fiorentina with both clubs struggling with long-term injuries to key players. Giovinco has been listed as a potential replacement for Lorenzo Insigne who is out for the rest of the season while it is no secret that Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella rates him highly and would gladly welcome the diminutive forward to help out his injury ravaged squad.
Giovinco has started just 2 games for Juventus this season but believes he still has a lot to offer.
“I’m not resigned [to being a substitute], it’s not in my character,” the Italy international told Rai Sport. “I have to evaluate many things but I’m not thinking about it now.”
“I’ll try to give my best, then we’ll see later this year if I will continue at Juventus. I hope so. The season has only just begun. I hope to be able to add my contribution.”
Sky Italia reports that there are no scheduled meetings between his agent and the Juventus directors at this moment leaving the door open for a January move. Giovincoai??i??s high wage demands are a significant block in the negotiations which is prompting suggestions that he might prefer a move abroad as Napoli and Fiorentina consider his demands too expensive.
His agent Andrea Dai??i??Amico hinted that the 27-year-old is considering the idea of moving abroad with Arsenal, Olympiacos and Wolfsburg reportedly interested.
“These are only journalistic suggestions,ai??? the playerai??i??s representative told Rai Sport.
“Giovinco is calm and has showed what he is capable of when he is used.”
“For now, we can only speak about Juventus, and then we will also evaluate the projects of other clubs that are abroad.He takes note of the Coach’s decisions and has never questioned the choices of his Coaches, but when the time to make evaluations comes, we will see.”
Juventus directors are busy negotiating the extensions of key players in the squad but the situation of Giovinco is still under consideration. He hasnai??i??t renewed his contract and if the situation remains the same, he could be available on the market in winter. Recent reports suggest that Giovinco, whose contract expires in June 2015, may be on his way out to make room for rising French teenager Kingsley Coman who has been in impressive form so far this season.
