Arsenal FC manager Arsene Wenger has downplayed Sami Khedira rumours, while insisting that the club could possibly make two more signing this summer.
Reports suggest that Arsenal are still in the transfer market for a defensive midfielder and a center back and Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Arsenal could still make two new signing this summer. But the Frenchman has also downplayed rumours linking them with a move for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.
The German international has been linked with a move to the Emirates throughout the summer. He , along with William Carvalho and Morgan Schneiderlin, is believed to be in Arsene Wengerai??i??s wish list for this summer as he looks for a long-term replacement of Mikel Arteta in the defensive half of the midfield.
Initial reports suggested that Real Madrid are keen to offload Khedira and are willing to reach an agreement with Arsenal, but the German midfielderai??i??s high wage demands has proved to be a stumbling block in this move. With reports of Thomas Vermaelen close to departing from the Emirates, the Gunners will have to sign one more center back, despite the arrival of Calum Chambers.
