AC Milan are in for a rough ride once this season ends with internal turmoils waiting to tear it apart. We take a look at the situation.
AC Milan have endured a really frustrating season till now and their failure to qualify for Europe next season, has made their troubles increase exponentially. After receiving assurances from the Milan management board about his future, Allegri went about setting up his squad for the new season. Little did he know that he would survive only six months in that position. Milan suffered their worst start to Serie A and slowly the undercurrents began to gain strength by the day. While there were definite murmurs before the start of the season, they only intensified after their dismal start to the league.
After it became apparent that Allegri will not last the whole season, it became a matter of who can replace him at the helm of the squad. While the constant bickering from the President continued to sour the mood around Milan, Allegri found himself more and more alone, waiting for the time when he would be ai???officially removedai??? from his duties. That pivotal moment came in January and instead of opening the can of worms, Allegri left with a solemn smile. Although he has been without a job since then, he will have his say on his last two years at Milan ai??i?? the time when he realized why this is one of the toughest jobs in the world, more so because of the constant interference from the President. Although he still has a long way to go before he can be compared with Palermoai??i??s, Berlusconi is well and truly on his way to destroy Milan.

Little did he know what was about to unfold. Seedorf started off pretty well and even though he had zero coaching experience, he seemed to fit in well with the Milan squad from day one. One of the reasons for that is surely the fact that more than a manager, he was a fan. Needless to say, Seedorf stuttered in his efforts to remove Milanai??i??s perils. He was handed an ailing squad with most of the players in the first team spending more time side-lined though injury than on the pitch. After few initial victories, it soon became apparent that Milan might not feature in Europe next season. Odd, since according to Berlusconi, this side should have lifted the Champions League this year! Seedorfai??i??s ai???failureai??? and Milanai??i??s late resurgence surely left a lot of things up in the air, but it seems that the former has had enough of the mind games at Milan. First it was Galliani and then, Berlusconi. It is highly impractical to expect a novice coach to start winning from day one, and in hindsight, instead of appointing Seedorf right away in January, Milan should have waited for the season to end and then begun to build a stable management. Granted, that would have come at the cost of a place in Europe next season, but when faced between glory and stability in a time of crisis, Milan chose the former. The results of that choice are there for everyone to see. Milanai??i??s management model has been mocked by almost each and every one of the former Milan legends, but out of fear, most have kept quiet.
It took a Maldini to finally spill the beans and only when he spoke, did the others voice their concerns about the Milan management. It was this very season, which once saw a situation where Galliani would have left Milan and yet after a compromise, he was handed the ai???technicalai??? aspects of Milan. There is bound to be resentment if players and employees are treated this way by the top brass and Seedorfai??i??s two recent interviews only go on to highlight the gulf between the players and the Milan hierarchy. The only good thing around Milan seems to be the team spirit, which has increased by many folds since Seedorfai??i??s arrival.
Milan are in for a rough ride in the future and its effects will be felt by every single person at Milan. Missing out on Europe is one thing, and respect is another.
