Spain are favourites to lift the UEFA U-21 Championship as they face Italy in the finals on Tuesday. There are a couple of factors that favour Manchester City ever so slightly in this pursuit of the player. The first one being Malaga may not completely entertain the idea of selling their prodigious talent to a top Spanish club, although Real Madrid are in no way a direct competition to them. The second factor and the more important one is Manuel Pellegriniai??i??s services having already been secured by the former English champions. Isco has grown leaps and bounds as a player under Pellegrini and might very well be tempted with the idea of continuing to be guided by the same man, albeit in a different country playing under different circumstances.

Isco is expected to take a holiday or two after the completion of the Under-21 tournament in Israel and then confirm his next move in European club football.
