Chelsea FC have made an attempt to sign Edinson Cavani, while Swansea City continue their Spanish raid.

The Uruguayan international is one of the hottest properties in Europe presently. Despite having two more years left in his contract at Napoli, Cavani has been linked with a lot of big European clubs currently. The 26-year-old has been in fine form once again this season, and has scored 38 goals (43 appearances!) in all competitions ai??i?? which amazingly takes his tally to 104 goals in 138 appearances for Napoli since he joined them back in 2010!
The Striker has recently stated that although he is happy at Napoli, who finished second in the Serie A last season and will participate in the Champions League once again, he will consider ai???importantai??i?? offers. Now it seems like that ai???importantai??i?? offer is set to arrive from Chelsea and PSG. Sky Sports are reporting that both PSG and Chelsea have approached the Italian club with an offer for the Uruguayan international. What remains to be seen though whether either of offers have matched the release clause in Cavaniai??i??s contract.
Napoli president De Laurentiis has insisted that the club wonai??i??t accept anything less than the ai??i??63million mentioned in his contract, something which has warded off interest from Manchester City as well. Cavani has recently stated his desire to move to a ai???biggerai??i?? club and has hinted at a meeting with the Napoli president to clarify his future plans. In reply, De Laurentiis said ai??i??
“There is no need to have a face to face with Cavani.
“If a club offers ai??i??63million, then we would allow him to leave. The release clause will have been activated.
“Should we receive an offer, then fine. If this offer doesn’t arrive, then Cavani will stay in Italy with us.”
The Uruguayan striker has previously stated his desire to play under a manager like Jose Mourinho and if Chelsea manages to pull off this deal then it will be one the biggest signing of this summer, and a big statement of intent from the London club.
Swansea City completes three signings in a day
Swansea City means business this summer.Ai?? It looks like they are determined to build on their success last season and establish themselves as a top team in England. They had already signed Canas and Jordi Amat few days back and today they have completed their move for 21-year-old attacking midfielder Alejandro PozueloAi??from Real Betis, along with couple of teenagers Gregor Zabret and Alex Gogic.
Pozuelo is a talented attacking midfielder who is very versatile. He can play either as a right winger/forward or as a play-maker. The 21-year-old has good pace and is a decent passer for his age, he should be able to adapt to Swanseaai??i??s style of play with ease. The youngster has expressed his delight at being able to join an exciting club like Swansea and with the opportunity to play in England. He has also hoped that the growing number of Spanish contingent in the Swansea squad will him settle down at the club.

The Welsh club are building a strong squad, both for the future and the present. They have also been linked with Wilfried Bony and Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey. They will need such resource in order to face European football next season.
