Adem Ljajic is heading towards Roma after Fiorentina snub Milan. Lamela is being looked on as a replacement for Bale while Lazio look to bring in Yilmaz.
Ljajic heads towards Roma
In what has been a long drawn out saga, the rumors surrounding Ljajic seems to have finally settled. With less than one year left on his contract, Ljajic was one of the prime targets for Milan this season. However, they waited too long to make their move and after spending quite some time idling over Honda, Ljajic silently slipped away from their hands.
Only 21 years of age, Ljajic would have been a perfect addition to the Milan squad who have focused their attention on youth since last season. Ljajic will join Roma and after spending quite an amount on a number of players this season, Romaai??i??s most recent acquisition will certainly bolster their squad and add depth to their talented line-up. Fiorentina were one of the prime contenders for the third spot in Serie A last season and after narrowly missing out on that with less than ten minutes remaining of the season to Milan, they seem to be in no mood to do Milan any favors.
Ljajic was not included in the squad that faced Catania over the last weekend, with coach Vincenzo Montella apparently fed up over the persistent transfer rumors. Ljajic was also asked to go home from a training session recently and not come to the stadium ai??i?? a move which hastened his departure from the Viola.
Lamela close to joining Spurs
With all the hullaballoo surrounding Baleai??i??s apparent move to Real Madrid, Spurs have lined up Lamela as a replacement. With close to
100 million coming from Baleai??i??s move, Spurs can invest heavily in quality players in these closing stages of the transfer window and bolster their chances for the coveted fourth spot in the Premier League. With Bale apparently not attending training sessions for the second consecutive day, a move appears on the horizon to the Spanish shores for him. Instead of wondering about keeping their star player, Villas-Boas has drawn up a plan to spend adequately and strengthen their squad.
A few names being linked now include the likes of Lamela, Chirinches and Eriksen. With Ljajic moving from Fiorentina to Roma, it opened up the transfer of Lamela to Spurs. The effort to bring Lamela to Spurs doubled after Chelsea apparently hijacked the transfer of Willian. Like Ljajic, Lamela too was left out of the squad which faced Livorno last weekend in Serie A. Although previously the Lamela deal was stuck due to a fee dispute, after the Willian saga, Spurs raised their offer so as to not lose another target.
Lazio looking to rope in Yilmaz
Having scored 32 goals in 39 games last season, Galatasary striker Burak Yilmaz was on the radar of many big clubs during this transfer window and recently it has been confirmed that Lazio had indeed put in a transfer request for the 28-year-old. Being the top striker, Galatasary are holding on to their prized asset with Lazio reluctant to raise their offer. Apparently, Galatasary are asking for almost double the prize Lazio are planning to spend on him.
