Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini insists Joe Hart won’t be allowed to leave the club in January.
The England international has faced heavy criticism following a string of poor performances this season both for club and country. The goalkeeper has made some high profile errors, mostly notably in match against Bayern Munich in the Champions League for City and during Englandai??i??s match against Scotland. Manuel Pellegrini dropped Hart after another terrible mistake handed over a late winner to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The Citizenai??i??s defence has looked vulnerable in the absence of Vincent Kompany and Joe Hartai??i??s poor form hasnai??i??t helped as well. These two are the perhaps the prime reasons behind Manchester Cityai??i??s poor away record so far.
Pellegrini has started with 26-year-old goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon in recent times and he has made it clear that Joe Hart will have to win back his place. There has been a lot of rumours and speculations regarding the future of Joe Hart at the Etihad Stadium. Manchester City have been linked with a lot of goalkeepers recently as reports suggested that the English are looking buy a permanent replacement for Hart. Ike Casillas, Willy Caballero and most recently Asmir Begovic have been linked with a move to Manchester. English media suggested that Manchester City were willing to send Joe Hart on loan to Stoke City in order to attain the services of Asmir Begovic in January. Juventus are also reportedly monitoring Hartai??i??s situation as the Italian club looked for a long term replacement for their veteran custodian Gianluigi Buffon.
But Manuel Pellegrini has now come out and dismissed all these reports and rumours and insisted that Joe Hart wonai??i??t be leaving the club in January.
“There is a lot of news about six or seven goalkeepers that we want to buy but it is not true.
“There is no chance that Joe Hart could go out of this squad in January.ai??? ai??i?? The Manchester City manager said.
But Pellegrini refrained from revealing whether Hart will come back into the side in their next Premier League encounter against Swansea, however he did reveal that the Englishman will start in their upcoming Champions League fixture against Viktoria Plzen.
“When we start the next game of the Premier League, we will talk about who will start playing,” added Pellegrini.
“The important thing for Joe is that he will play on Wednesday and we hope he will have a very good performance.” ai??i?? Pellegrini added.
