Mourinho has been credited with the revival of Fernando Torres, who produced a man of the match performance against Manchester City last weekend, but the Chelsea manager refused to take all the credit. He insisted that Torres is responsible for his performance and he wants the former Liverpool striker to play freely against Newcastle United once again, without worrying about scoring a goal.
‘I repeat I did nothing. I did what I always do in trying to get the best out of the players, but in a very normal way. Fernando is responsible for his self-motivation and his commitment and the way he is working every day.
