Blacburn Rovers have relieved Michael Appleton from his managerial duties after just 15 games in the charge of the Championship club.

It has been a rapid fall for Blackburn under their owners and now the club sacked their third manager this season.
After Steve Kean left the club at the start of the season, Henning Berg was appointed as the new manager. The former Blackburn defender was then sacked after just 57 days of his appointment and now Michael Appleton, who was Henning Bergai??i??s replacement, has been sacked after just 67 days of his appointment.
The club has released a statement on their website stating the removal of Appleton from his post along with assistant manager Ashley Westwood, first team coach Darren Moore and head of senior recruitment Luke Dowling.

This decision comes on the back of their FA cup exit at the hands of Millwall after Appleton was heavily criticized for his team selection in which he left out veteran midfielder Danny Murphy from the squad.
