It was yet another fascinating round of action in Serie A. Milan took on Inter in the derby of Milan, Juventus hosted a rejuvenated Cagliari among other exciting games. In what was billed as the biggest game of the weekend, Inter painted the city of Milan black and blue. The Nerazzurri overcame arch rivals Milan through a well taken Diego Milito goal. Theyai??i??ve now won their last 6 games in a row while Claudio Ranieri maintains his quite remarkable record of never having lost a derby in Italy. With the gap on Juve now cut down to six, their scudetto intentions are clear.
Juventus Drop Points Against Cagliari
With results going their way, Juve had the chance to break-away from the chasing pact but they only managed a draw against Cagliari. Mirko Vucinic opened the score for the home side, while a swerving left-footed shot by playmaker Andrea Cossu drew the Sardinians level. The performance from the Bianconeri was less than desired but they do continue their incredible run of 18 games unbeaten this season. With yet another draw, their 8th of the campaign, theyai??i??re now leaders of the league with 38 points, a point above AC Milan.
