Pre-match: Hello and welcome to TheHardTackle’s LIVE coverage of I-League round-20. In today’s only match of the round Viva Kerala takes on JCT FC at Kannur Municipal Stadium.
1′: Here we go; the match gets underway with Viva taking the ball forward from left of the player’s dug-out to the right.
10′: The game is proceeding in snail’s pace. No urgency from any of the teams what so ever. Players are looking a bit rusty too after the break. Viva got a corner early on, cleared away to safety by the Omoloja Kareem.
20′: GOOOAAALLL! Viva Kerala scores. Sajesh P is the scorer. Anil Kumar with the assist to his name.
30′: We are in to the half-an-hour mark and the score-line remains 1-0 in favor of the home team. Viva got a great chance to double their lead, but JCT custodian Pawan Kumar made a brilliant stop to deny C.S. Sabeeth.
40′: JCT players are showing much more attacking intent now. Badru K Ibrahim unleashed a screamer from around 25 yards out; wide off the target. Uneven turf at this Jawahar municipal ground is not helping JCT’s cause either.
HT’: Here goes the half time whistle. Time for lemon break. The home team is leading by a goal scored by Sajesh P in the 19th minute of the match.
48′: GOOOAAALLLL! Viva Kerala doubles the lead. It’s 2-0 now. Karma T gets in to the scoring chart.
55′: Viva Kerala are leading by two goals to nil. Sukhwinder makes a substitution and a tactical switch. JCT gets going with an extra men upfront. JCT playing in 4-3-3 formation now. Desperately looking for goals here.
60′: An hour of play is over and Viva Kerala is looking solid with two goal’s lead. JCT is finding it tough to crack the Bello Rasaq-led Viva defense line.
67′: GOOOAAALLLL! JCT pulls one back. It’s 2-1 with just over 20 minutes remaining on the clock. Ajay Singh is the scorer for the Ludhiana based club.
75′: Still 2-1 in favor of the home team, Viva Kerala. After the tactical switch by Sukhwinder Singh to change the formation to 4-3-3 from 4-4-2, JCT has been enjoying a decent spell of ball possession. Viva needs to defend well in the remaining 15 minutes if they want to get hold of all three points here.
82′: GOOOAAALLLL! A quick counter attack and Viva up by three goals to one. Anil Kumar, their top scorer this season, is the scorer. It’s Viva 3-1 JCT at the moment.
90′: Assistant referee signals 4 minutes of injury time. Viva leading 3-1.
90+4′: GOOOAAALLLL! Anil Kumar scores his second goal of the day.
FT’: Viva Kerala 3-1 JCT FC.

Team News:
Indian Arrows: Jaargup, Visal, Raju, Deepak, Lalrozama, Lalrindika, Jibon, Jewel, Shilton, Jeje, Manandeep.
HAL SC: Promod, Kenneth, Jai Kumar, Goutam, Murli J, Metei, James, Vijoy Kumar, Prakash, Hamza.
1′: An exciting contest on the cards here. Battle for the 9th position. Indian Arrows will be a confident lot especially after their tremendous display in Indian National colors in Olympics Qualifying and AFC Challenge Cup qualifying campaign. HAL SC, who have struggled to get going in the second part of the league would look to bounce back and finish their league campaign on a high. And with the referee’s whistle, the match gets underway at Sree Kantheerva Stadium, Bangalore.
10′: A breezy start here at Bangalore. Quick exchange of passes between Indian Arrows midfielder and a good forward ball in the attacking third, but HAL clears with ease and launches a counter attack on the Arrows defense to earn a corner.
20′: Still goal-less at Bangalore.
30′: Half-an-hour goes by but the dead-lock is yet to be broken. One decent chance each for both the teams in first 30 minutes of play. Indian Arrows have a slightly better ball possession, but a lot of sloppy passes saw them losing the ball from promising positions quite a few times – the poor condition of the field here in Bangalore is not helping them either.
35′: RC Praksh’s ballooned his long range effort from Murali J’s pass. Score-line remains goal-less. Indian Arrows march forward for another quick counter.
40′: GOOOAAALLLL! The visiting team breaks the dead-lock. Arrows take the lead. And you know what – it’s the golden boy of Indian football once again – Jeje Lalpekhlua continue his amazing goal scoring form.
HT’: Time for the breather in Bangalore. Des Bulpin would be happy with his team’s effort in the first half. Indian Arrows are leading by one goal to nil against the home team HAL SC.
50′: GOOOAAALLLL! Jewel Raja Sheikh makes it 2-0 fir Indian Arrows.
60′: We are in to the hour mark and the score-line reads 2-0 in favor of the visiting Indian Arrows.
66′: GOOOAAALLLL! Shilton D’Silva this time. The Indian Arrows’ players are toying with HAL defense at the moment.
70′: Only 20 minutes to go for the final whistle? Can HAL stage a come-back here? Back to back substitutions by the HAL coach Thyagyaraj. Looks like a chnage of formation as well. The conventional 4-4-2 now changes to 3-4-3. We might see a few more goals here.
80′: Indian Arrows completely dominated the proceeding in the second half and they are looking for more goals here. HAL players are struggling to keep up with the pace of the young Arrows lad and are looking out of sorts here.
85′: GOOOAAALLLL. Arrows score their 4th goal of the match. Substitute Malswamfela gets his name on the score book with a neat finish.
FT: HAL SC 0-4 Indian Arrows. Man of the match: Jeje Lalpekhlua (Indian Arrows)

v
MOHUN BAGAN
Sahu Maharaj Stadium, Kohlapur
3rd April 2011 – 4:00 PM IST
1′: Battle for the 5th place between impressive Mumbai FC and eternal giants Mohun Bagan. Both the teams would like to grab the momentum after the extended break by gaining no less than all three points in their kitty.
5′: Mumbai FC in attacking mood right from the word go. Abhishek does well to go past Biswajit and fires a low grounder – wide off the target.
10′: Bagan responds positively and created their first chance of the game from the middle of the park. Jayanta Sen provides a through ball for Chidi, which the striker shoots with his very first touch. Straight to Mumbai FC goalie.
15′: Sukore tried a shot from the edge of the box. Sangram gathers with ease. Bagan on the run for a counter on the left wing. Satish crosses towards MFC box, little bit too long. Goes out for a goal-kick.
20′: Great save by the veteran ‘keeper Sangram. Sukore provided Henry with an absolute gem inside the 6 yards box, but Sangram came up to Bagan’s rescue. Moments later Chidi was through on goal at the other end of the pitch, but he shoots wide from an 1-on-1 position with the MFC goalie. Close shave for MFC here.
30′: Edeh Chidi missed two great chances to put his team ahead. On both occasion Gouranga Dutta had laid in good crosses from the right wing. Nicolas with a timely block denied Chidi on the first occasion, while the MFC goalie produced a splendid save on the second.
40′: Nicolas finds Abhishek with a looping free-kick inside the Bagan box, but his header goes wide. Another attack by Khalid Jamil’s men saw them earn a corner. Cleared by Kingshuk Debnath.
HT’: It’s half time at Kohlapur. Henry wastes another opportunity from close range a minute prior to the half time whistle. The score-line remains goal-less but Mumbai FC would consider themselves unlucky not to be ahead by the lemon break. Henry Ezeh missed two sitters in the first half. For Mohun Bagan Chidi Edeh should have done better with his effort in the 20th minute.
50′: GOOOAAALLLL! Oh wait… drama. Some confusion there and Mumbai FC players are protesting as the referee cancelled the goal for off-side. The linesman had his flags down and it was the referee’s call to cancel the goal and it was the right decision in the end. Sukore met Henry’s cross with a fabulous header to beat Sangram but he was in an offside position.
60′: Still goal-less. Bagan makes their first change. Sagaram Mandi goes OFF; Shouvik Ghosh comes IN.
70′: Still 0-0. Two decent attacks by Bagan meanwhile – Ashim Biswas was expertly tackled by Evans Quao before Satish was denied by the MFC goalie. Substitution by Khalid Jamil. Kuttimani goes OFF and Ashutosh comes IN.
75′: Sangram Mukherjee! Outstanding reflex save one again to deny Henry Ezeh. Moments later Nicolas’s long range scorcher was deflected to safety by Kingshuk Debnath. MFC is looking for goals here.
85′: Chidi’s shot hit thecross-post and goes out. Lucky escape for MFC.
90′: 3 minutes of added time remaining to be played here.
FT’: Mumbai FC 0-0 Mohun Bagan. Man of the match: Evans Quao (Mumbai FC)
