Round-15 Prediction Stats
Correct Predictions: 3/7
Exact Score-line: 1/7

——————————————————————————————————————————————-

ROUND 16

VIVA KERALA v CHURCHILL BROTHERS

Fresh from their surprise win over Dempo in round-15, Viva will look to cause another upset against the current champions. In-form centre back duo of Charles Dzisah and Bello Rassaq will be their key strength. On the other hand Churchill will look to carry the good form forward and will once again bank on the Kalu-Odafa recipe upfront. Viva coach Sreedharan knows very well that their fight for survival will depend heavily on positive results on home soil. That is why Viva will try their best to make life difficult for the champions in Kerala.

TheHardTackle’s PREDICTION: VIVA KERALA 1 – 2 CHURCHILL BROTHERS

——————————————————————————————————————————————-

EAST BENGAL v MAHINDRA

East Bengal is a devastated side at this moment after losing their last two I-League games and their opening AFC Cup encounter. Mahindra, on the other hand, are playing like a well-oiled machine and would look to grab the top spot of the I-League by defeating the Kolkata giants at their own backyard. The only concern for David Booth’s side might be their dismal performances in Kolkata. East Bengal have nothing to lose. They will look to regain their lost pride and bring their derailed campaign back on track. And that’s where they can be dangerous. For Mahindra, Muritala Ali and Mohammed Rafi are in the form of their life and Steven Dias supporting them very well. East Bengal would look to gain inspiration from talismanic striker Baichung Bhutia and Yusif Yakubu.

TheHardTackle’s PREDICTION: EAST BENGAL 2—2 MAHINDRA

——————————————————————————————————————————————-

AIR INDIA v PUNE FC:

Pune FC fought well to earn a point from Mohun Bagan in their last round encounter. They would look to consolidate their standings by securing three points from this match. Pune’s defense is their core strength and if they can grab a goal from somewhere, it will be tough for their opposition to find the equalizer. Air India, currently just 2 points above the relegation zone, would like to salvage atleast a single point from this tie to keep them floating away from the relegation battle.

TheHardTackle’s PREDICTION: AIR INDIA 0 –1 PUNE FC

——————————————————————————————————————————————-

SHILLONG LAJONG v SPORTING CLUB:

Fresh from their confidence boosting win over East Bengal, Lajong FC will try to win another match by exploiting the home conditions. Sporting Club is yet to bag their first win in this campaign after a last minute heartbreak against Mumbai FC in the previous match. But the high altitude of Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong is bound to dampen their spirits. Lajong will rely on Dainel Bidemi and Anil Gurung to produce a result in their favor.

TheHardTackle’s PREDICTION: SHILLONG LAJONG 0 – 0 SPORTING CLUB

——————————————————————————————————————————————-

SALGAOCAR v DEMPO:

After the shock defeat against Viva in their last match, Dempo will look to regain their composure and ensure maximum points from this encounter. Beto is fully fit and expected to start the match with Coach Armando Colaco expecting another stealer performance from the Brazilian playmaker. Salgaocar are yet to win their first match under the new coach Karim Bencherifa and will like to draw inspiration from their last leg performance against JCT.

TheHardTackle’s PREDICTION: SALGAOCAR 1 – 2 DEMPO

——————————————————————————————————————————————-

JCT v MOHUN BAGAN:

JCT showed a lot of mental strength to pull off a draw against Salgaocar in the previous round, despite going down to 10 men after Gurpreet Singh was given the marching orders. They always play well at home and Mohun Bagan will have to be at their attacking best to crack JCT’s strong defense. Edeh Chidi will be available in this match for Bagan and his combination with Barreto upfront can run any defense into trouble. JCT goalkeeper Karanjeet, MOM in last match, can expect another tough outing.

TheHardTackle’s PREDICTION: JCT 0 – 2 MOHUN BAGAN

——————————————————————————————————————————————-

MUMBAI FC v CHIRAG UNITED:

Mumbai FC managed to escape defeat against Sporting in round-15, thanks to an injury time equalizer. They will be playing against Chirag at their home ground, where their record has been impressive throughout the season. Chirag got stricken by the Odafa thunderstorm in last match and got thrashed by Churchill Brothers by 2-4 margin. The unavailability of inform striker Edmilson is a massive blow to Chirag going into this match. The Brazilian is suspended after getting a straight red card in their lost campaign against the champions. The ongoing controversy with respect to their coach Subrata Bhattacharya is also affecting their composure ahead of this important tie.

TheHardTackle’s PREDICTION: MUMBAI FC 2 – 2 CHIRAG UNITED
