Juventus are looking to strike a swap deal with Arsenal involving Adrien Rabiot and Hector Bellerin.
According to Calciomercatoweb.it, Juventus are looking for market solutions to get rid of Adrien Rabiot. The midfielder has fallen out of favour in Turin and will be offloaded in the ongoing summer transfer window. Juventus are actively looking for suitors for Rabiot, and are expected to cash in if the right offer arrives.
Manchester United are among the clubs linked with a move for Rabiot. But as per the report, Juventus are exploring the possibility of a potential swap deal with Arsenal, involving the Frenchman and Hector Bellerin.
Juventus have been in the market for a right-back for quite some time now, as Massimiliano Allegri looks to find an upgrade over Danilo and Juan Cuadrado. They have been linked with a move for various right-backs throughout the past year, with Bellerin emerging as one of the candidates.
Once regarded as one of the best right-backs in world football, Bellerin is coming on the back of a rather fruitful loan spell at Real Betis this past season. Although he has returned to Emirates in the summer, the player wants to make the move permanent, as he has settled in rather nicely at Real Betis.
However, the Spanish outfit are finding it difficult to reach an agreement with Arsenal, who are holding out for a fee of €18 million. It has paved the way for Juventus to intercept the deal and lay down a lucrative offer for the Gunners, in their attempts to snap up the services of Bellerin in the coming season.
The Bianconeri ideally want to offer Rabiot in a swap deal, knowing Arsenal are desperate for reinforcement in the midfield unit this summer. The Gunners have recently roped in Fabio Vieira from FC Porto, but coach Mikel Arteta could welcome the addition of a versatile, experienced star such as Rabiot as well.
A swap deal involving Rabiot and Bellerin makes sense from Arsenal’s perspective as the Londoners do not require the services of the Spaniard. Arteta is already targeting a right-back in the market, who can compete with Takehiro Tomiyasu and Cedric Soares in the coming season.
The addition of Rabiot, meanwhile, could help Arsenal add more depth to the midfield unit that could prove to be useful in squad rotation throughout the 2022/23 campaign. The Frenchman also brings considerable experience and can operate out wide if necessary, making him a viable target for the Premier League giants this summer.
