Barcelona will reportedly need to cough up €55 million to secure the services of 25-year-old Brazilian international Raphinha this summer.
According to a report by Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Leeds United will demand €55 million to part with Raphinha in the summer transfer window. The Brazilian international is a target for Barcelona, who will pursue him if Ousmane Dembele departs from Camp Nou.
Raphinha joined Leeds United from Stade Rennais in October 2020 and has since established himself as the Whites’ talisman. The 25-year-old was instrumental in helping the West Yorkshire club clinch a top-half finish in the 2020/21 season and played a pivotal role in helping them stave off relegation this term.
The Brazilian international racked up a tally of 11 goals and three assists in 35 Premier League appearances, scoring on the final day to ensure Leeds’s top-flight status remained intact. But after doing his bit to help Leeds’s cause, Raphinha wants to embark on a new challenge in the summer transfer window, with Barcelona reportedly keen on signing him.
Raphinha is one of the priority targets for Barcelona heading into the summer transfer window as the Catalan giants look to continue their squad overhaul under Xavi Hernandez. Initial reports had suggested that Barcelona will pursue the Leeds forward irrespective of what the future holds for Ousmane Dembele.
But their stance has changed due to their financial woes, with Mundo Deportivo asserting that Barcelona will only launch the offensive for Raphinha if Dembele leaves. Meanwhile, the Brazilian international is desperate to join Barcelona that he has requested Leeds to let him move to Camp Nou.
As for Dembele, the Frenchman has turned down Barcelona’s latest contract offer, which could be the final nail in the coffin. But even if Dembele leaves, Barcelona might not be able to afford to sign Raphinha, with Leeds reportedly demanding €55 million to part with the 25-year-old.

A compromise will be the best way forward, especially with the Brazilian international keen on moving to Camp Nou this summer.
