Arsenal, Newcastle United and West Ham United are reportedly monitoring the situation of Marcus Rashford, who is considering leaving Manchester United.
According to 90 Min, Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is considering his future at Old Trafford, putting several Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Newcastle United and West Ham United on alert.
Rashford, who came through the youth ranks at Manchester United, was handed his first-team breakthrough by Louis van Gaal in 2016. He has since grown from strength to strength, becoming a regular in the side at the club level and on the international level with England. However, the past eight to ten months have been difficult for the 24-year-old.
After a disappointing end to the UEFA Euro 2020 campaign, Rashford underwent surgery to treat an injury, which sidelined him for a good part of the first phase of the season. Since his comeback, the Englishman has looked a shadow of his old confident self, struggling to get into his rhythm.
Rashford, as a result, has hardly been used as a regular by interim manager Ralf Rangnick since the turn of the year. Unhappy with his lack of minutes, the academy graduate is considering his future at Manchester United. It has piqued the interest of clubs in the Premier League, with Arsenal, Newcastle and West Ham United now monitoring the situation closely.

Arsenal are in the market for at least one new forward in the summer, having lost Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the January transfer window. Alexandre Lacazette is out of contract at the end of the season, and talks over a new deal are yet to be held. The same holds for Eddie Nketiah, and with the duo likely to depart, the Gunners will be left with no senior centre-forward.
It has led to links with several strikers in recent weeks, with Victor Osimhen, Alexander Isak, and Darwin Nunez being mentioned as targets. Now, Rashford has seemingly emerged on their radar. Despite having largely played on the left wing of late, the 24-year-old is very much capable of operating through the middle and is a proven performer in the Premier League, making him an appealing prospect.
As for Newcastle United, they are on the lookout for marquee additions to kickstart their new project next season after their safety in the top-flight is secured. Given their over reliance on Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin in attack, adding a versatile and gifted forward like Rashford would certainly be a huge boost to the squad as well as their project.
Meanwhile, West Ham United have lacked proper cover for Michail Antonio in their ranks since letting Sebastien Haller leave last year. They have been on the lookout for a new forward since, but are yet to make a signing. Rashford would be a shrewd piece of business for David Moyes’ men, although question marks remain over their financial ability to pull off the deal.

Apart from Arsenal, Newcastle and West Ham, Real Madrid are also interested in Rashford. The 24-year-old is expected to wait for the new managerial appointment at United and sit down with the hierarchy to discuss his future.
