German midfielder Mesut Ozil was singled out for criticism after the Gunners lost to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Arsenal struck early through Theo Walcott in the fifth minute, and managed to hold the lead till half-time. But it all unraveled in the second half, with Leroy Sane equalizing early on and Raheem Sterling finding the back of the net to give City all three points.
The result took Arsenal back to fourth place, and Gooners everywhere were disappointed in this return to the status quo.
Midfielder Mesut Ozil had a very poor showing and absolutely no impact on the match, managing to put in only an inaccurate cross into the box. After the game, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to ask the most important question of all – where was Ozil?
Did #Ozil play today ? Where was he ? Every once in a while we’d say ” oh look, there he is” should have subbed him

Ozil’s a magician. The ability to make himself disappear is phenomenal.
