Aston Villa and Leeds United are reportedly tracking the situation of 18-year-old Sheffield United striker Daniel Jebbison, who is also a target for Everton.
According to an exclusive report by TEAMtalk, the race to sign Daniel Jebbison before the summer transfer window slams shut has quickly become intense. Aston Villa, Everton and Leeds United are among the suitors for the 18-year-old, who could be set to leave Sheffield United this month.
Daniel Jebbison joined Sheffield United in 2018 after his family moved from Canada to England. And after making swift progress through the ranks at the club, the teenage prodigy made his debut for the Blades late in the 2019/20 season.
Since then, he is yet to become a regular feature for Sheffield United, but has still made quite an impression in the five appearances he has made for the club, wherein he has also scored a goal. However, Jebbison appears to be surplus to requirements at Bramall Lane, which has piqued the interest of the likes of Everton, Aston Villa and Leeds United, among others.
Everton have, in fact, already had a bid worth £5 million being rejected by Sheffield United, with the Toffees set to table a fresh offer for him. The interest in the teenager makes sense as well, seeing as Richarlison continues to be linked with a potential summer exit, thereby necessitating the arrival of a forward, making Jebbison a viable target for Everton.
As for Aston Villa, they have already bolstered their attack considerably this summer by signing the likes of Leon Bailey, Emiliano Buendia and Danny Ings. And with Ollie Watkins already a part of the first-team setup, it is intriguing to see how the Villans will fit someone like Jebbison, although he could be a long-term successor for someone like Ings.
Meanwhile, Leeds United have been touted to be in the market for a striker this summer despite the fact that Patrick Bamford has been going from strength to strength and has recently snubbed an interest from Tottenham to stay put at Elland Road. However, there is not a lot of quality beyond Bamford, which is why Jebbison is a viable target for Leeds.
Apart from Leeds, Aston Villa and Everton, the likes of Hull City, Sunderland, Burton Albion and Doncaster Rovers have all made loan bids for the 18-year-old. However, with Sheffield United keen on offloading him permanently, the three Premier League suitors could be the front-runners to land Jebbison. An intriguing summer beckons the teenage prodigy.
