Manchester United have reportedly reached a €90 million agreement to sign priority target Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer
According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Manchester United have inched closer to securing the services of priority target Jadon Sancho. The Premier League giants have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign their priority target in a deal worth €90 million.
For over a year now, it has been crystal clear that Jadon Sancho is the number one priority for Manchester United in the transfer market. The Red Devils had been hot on the trails of the English international last summer as well, only to never reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over an acceptable transfer fee.
After yet another impressive campaign for the 21-year-old, wherein he had a fantastic tally of 16 goals and 20 assists in 38 appearances across all competitions, the interest in him has only scaled further heights. In addition to Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are also among the suitors named for Sancho.
However, it is Manchester United who are pressing ahead with their interest in Sancho and intently so. The continued interest in Sancho makes a lot of sense as well, despite the progress that Mason Greenwood has shown in the last couple of seasons. After all, the English prodigy’s long-term future is as a striker, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suggested himself at times last term.
As a result, it would leave Manchester United and Solskjaer in a situation with Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri as the only options for the right wing slot. With the duo being very inexperienced and raw at the moment, signing someone like Sancho would be a game-changer, as Manchester United look to bridge the gap to Manchester City.
In recent weeks, there have been suggestions that the record 20-time English champions have been closing in on reaching an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to land the English international, with personal terms hardly an issue. And as per Rudy Galetti, Manchester United have finally found the said agreement and are set to sign Sancho on a €90 million deal.

So, a move for Sancho appears to be a mere formality at the moment, with his transfer likely to be formally completed following the end of England’s campaign at UEFA Euro 2020. What now remains to be seen is if Manchester United can wrap up the €90 million signing anytime soon, with Sancho likely to be their marquee arrival this summer.
