Manchester United are among clubs keeping tabs on PAOK Salonika whizkid Christos Tzolis, who is also targeted by Borussia Dortmund.
According to Voetbalkrant, Manchester United are closely monitoring the situation of Christos Tzolis. The PAOK Salonika winger has earned rave reviews following his breakthrough in professional football. He is already courted by numerous top clubs, forcing his club to slap a €15 million price tag.
One of the clubs desperate to secure the services of Tzolis is Club Brugge, who are still licking their wounds after the departure of Emmanuel Dennis and Krepin Diatta. They are not the only ones in this chase, though, with Bundesliga duo Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach, in addition to Manchester United ready to pounce on the youngster.
A product of the PAOK youth academy, Tzolis enjoyed a breakthrough 2020/21 campaign, notching 46 appearances in all competitions. He has been involved in 26 goals, five of which have come in the UEFA Europa League. The attacker notably scored twice against PSV Eindhoven, although his club was knocked out of the group stages.
Tzolis’ performances, nonetheless, have not gone unnoticed. He has already won as many as eight gaps for the Greek national team, scoring one goal, while the youngster is regarded as one of the finest wingers in the Greek top-flight.
In addition to his successes, it appears Tzolis could also be on the verge of a move to a bigger club in the summer. The interest from Manchester United is certainly a flattering prospect for the youngster, but for the club, it will be an equally exciting opportunity to bag one of the most talented young players in the Mediterranean.
The Red Devils have had a major overhaul in their transfer policy under the leadership of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Over the past few years, they have brought in talented young players like Daniel James, Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri. They have also recently been linked with a move for Atalanta youngster Alessandro Cortinovis.
At the same time, they are closing in on the capture of Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund, which makes things rather interesting given the Black and Yellows are also among the club keeping an eye on Tzolis. There is no secret that the Bundesliga giants are actively scouting a replacement for the talented Englishman – making the PAOK winger an appealing target.

However, if the Red Devils can now somehow hijack the deal to sign not only Sancho but also Tzolis, it will make things quite difficult for Dortmund, whose pursuit of Donyell Malen has come under jeopardy following the winger’s impressive performances in the UEFA Euro 2020, driving up the price tag as well as the list of interested parties.
