Leeds are in the market for a new left-back heading into the new season. Having returned to the Premier League after 16 years, the Whites have gone through the 2020/21 campaign without a natural left-sided full-back, instead relying on the likes of Stuart Dallas and Ezgjan Alioski to get the job done. However, the club are said to be keen to add more support to Dallas before next season.

And they could do so with the signing of Gutierrez, who has been offered to Leeds United director Victor Orta. As things stand, the report states that the Whites are considering a season-long loan deal for the Real Madrid prospect with an option to make the transfer permanent next year.

Real Madrid, though, remain unsure over whether they should let Gutierrez leave. Held in the highest of regards by Raul, the 19-year-old may have a shot at first-team football next term, as a backup for first-choice left-back Ferland Mendy, with Marcelo’s form dwindling. However, with Los Blancos closing in on the free transfer of David Alaba, he may not get as many chances under Zinedine Zidane.

It now remains to be seen if the highly-rated Real Madrid prospect makes his way to Elland Road in the upcoming transfer window or gets the push to the first-team at the Spanish capital outfit.
