Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Paulo Dybala, valued at €70 million by Juventus, in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Spanish outlet El Gol Digital, Paulo Dybala has emerged on the radar of Liverpool over a move in the summer transfer window. The Argentine international could have a price tag of at least €70 million, with a summer exit from Juventus not out of the question.
Dybala joined Juventus from Palermo in the summer of 2015 and has since been one of the best players on show within Serie A. One of the mainstays in attack for the most part since making his way to Turin, the 27-year-old’s stock has declined steadily since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
At the onset of the ongoing season, he faced his worst time in a Juventus shirt, having become a rotation option. Things have not been helped by major fitness issues, all of which have restricted the Argentine to just 859 minutes of action this term. His stock, though, has not fallen, with one of the biggest clubs in the world – Liverpool – chasing his signature.
The reigning Premier League champions are set to be deposed off their status soon following a very dismal defence of their crown. With even a top four finish appearing to be an uphill task, it is but obvious that a major squad reshaping beckons Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Attack is one of the departments that is set to be addressed as well, particularly with Mohamed Salah’s future having a lot of question marks around it. To that end, a move for Kylian Mbappe has been mooted for a long time, with the Frenchman viewed by many as a priority for Liverpool.

However, the report claims that Mbappe is extremely unlikely to make his way to Anfield, especially amid concerns over the Reds’ ability to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League. To that end, Dybala has emerged as a viable alternative for Liverpool, with the fact that his contract with Juventus will expire in the summer of 2022 only making him more attractive.
Having said that, despite the duration of his deal, Juventus are looking to recoup around €70 million for the 27-year-old. The report, however, adds that Liverpool could be open to paying such a sum to secure the services of Dybala, leaving them in a strong position to land him.
What now remains to be seen is if Liverpool do end up making a move for Dybala or if they end up turning their attention to attacking alternatives, with Sasa Kalajdzic also being eyed over a transfer. A big summer awaits Dybala, though.
