Disillusioned Real Madrid star Isco is reportedly considering a reunion with former manager Carlo Ancelotti and ex-teammate James Rodriguez at Everton.
As reported by the Mirror, Real Madrid playmaker Isco is keen on linking up with Carlo Ancelotti and James Rodriguez at Everton, with the La Liga champions also considering a sale in the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old joined the Merengues back in 2013 from Malaga, with Ancelotti being the manager at the Bernabeu at the time. Till date, he has racked up 311 appearances for the club, scoring 54 goals and creating 51 more for his teammates.
While Isco has enjoyed a lot of success during his time at the Spanish capital outfit, he now finds himself out of favour under manager Zinedine Zidane. Indeed, the ex-Malaga ace has featured just five times across all competitions so far this term, starting just two games. He has failed to score or assist a single goal.
Recently. Isco was pictured complaining over his lack of game time while on the bench during the match against Barcelona. And now, it is being claimed that Real Madrid are prepared to let him leave in the upcoming transfer window, as he is no longer a major part of the plans under Zidane.
As per the report, the reigning La Liga champions will loan out the Spanish international till the end of the ongoing campaign, with an obligation to make the transfer permanent next summer. They will demand a transfer fee of £18 million plus add-ons for his sale.
Real Madrid have reportedly informed his representatives of their intentions and have already sounded out clubs in England and Italy, with there being some degree of interest from Arsenal and Juventus, while fellow La Liga side Sevilla are also monitoring his situation.
However, it is believed that Isco personally would favour a transfer to Everton, where he is keen on reuniting with ex-manager Ancelotti and former teammate James Rodriguez.
Ancelotti took over the reins at Goodison Park in December last year and has masterminded a brilliant turnaround, which sees the Toffees sitting at the top of the Premier League table currently. And, James, who left Madrid for Everton this past summer, has been integral to their success in the ongoing campaign.
Isco is contracted to Real Madrid till the summer of 2022. But, for him to stand a chance to make the Spain squad for next summer’s European Championships, regular game time is a necessity. This could lead to him forcing through an exit when the January transfer window comes around and as things stand, Everton could end up being his next destination.
