Barcelona continued to pile the pressure on table-toppers Real Madrid with a clean 4-1 win over Espanyol. Luis Suarez scored a brace in the match and was adjudged the Man Of The Match as he created another at the end for Lionel Messi.
Suarez’s first goal was down to brilliant vision from Andres Iniesta who sliced Espanyol open and found Suarez, who obliged with what was still a pretty good finish.
The second goal from Suarez was a real poacher’s goal. Lionel Messi dizzy-dazzled past several Espanyol defenders with one of his trademark magical runs, but his shot was parried by the keeper, which Suarez coolly latched on to and converted.
