Barcelona ran out 4-1 winners over Espanyol at the Nou Camp to continue to pile on the pressure over the table-toppers Real Madrid.
Despite Luis Suarez’s brace, it was Lionel Messi’s magical run that caught the eye. In the second half, Andres Iniesta lost the ball in a scuffle and the ball made his way to Messi, who danced past more than half of the Espanyol squad unleashing a shot which was parried by the goalkeeper.
Even though the run did not produce a goal, the move was worthy of being watched over and over again, as Lionel Messi did not even break a sweat while leaving the opposition players for dead in his wake.
