Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a brace on his Premier League home debut in Manchester United’s 2-0 win against Southampton.
Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United continued their fabulous start to the 2016/17 campaign as they rounded off their second victory in as many games to see the Red Devils sit atop the Premier League table. In the club’s first league game at home, United beat Southampton 2-0 with new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring both the goals.
Here’s how the contest panned out on social media:

Watching @ManUtd under Jose & SAF I don’t want the game to end, watching them under LVG I wanted my life to end.

Paul Pogba, on his second coming to Old Trafford, was praised on Twitter:
Paul Pogba for #MUFC tonight:
Most chances created
Most interceptions
Most take-onshttps://t.co/scYvp7IkB1 pic.twitter.com/fuR7YCeaI5— Telegraph Football (@TeleFootball) August 19, 2016
Pogba’s stats tonight are exceptional:
Highest numbers out of anyone in: ball recoveries, take-ons, chances created and interceptions.
— Liam Canning (@LiamPaulCanning) August 19, 2016
How come people are surprised at the fact Pogba is a good football player? Thought that was kind of, ern, obvious?
— Paul (@Kolology) August 19, 2016
HEAT MAP: Paul Pogba has been absolutely everywhere on his second Manchester United debut. Covering the midfield. pic.twitter.com/rxADzLIH7L

Aggressive, disciplined and eye catching #MUFC performance. Zlatan/Pogba headline makers but Bailly/Mata/Shaw all superb too.
— Stan Collymore (@StanCollymore) August 19, 2016
The way #Pogba breezes past players ??
His attitude is also spot on; visibly disappointed when he loses possession, gladly tracks back #MUFC— Jonathan Shrager (@JonathanShrager) August 19, 2016
