Manchester City midfielder and one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the world, Yaya Toure has named the five players who, according to him, are the best in the world.
Speaking to former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand, the Ivorian was modest enough to exclude himself from the list and there were no surprises when he picked his Etihad teammate Sergio Aguero at 3rd place in the list.
Toure picked Messi as undoubtedly the best footballer in the world and Cristiano Ronaldo followed in second place. World’s costliest player and Ronaldo’s teammate Gareth Bale was named 4th on the list, while the most shocking inclusion in the list was at 5th place.
Yaya Toure took his time before picking the 5th player to feature on the list, but eventually selected his ‘enemy’ Wayne Rooney for the 5th spot. Toure even hailed Rooney as a ‘brilliant player’.
